Snow and Ice Took Down Fences After a Harsh Winter
After the brutal winter of 2007-2008 in Royal Oak, the heavy snow load and ice buildup crushed several fences around Grant Park. I remember the cold crunch underfoot as we surveyed the damage—panels warped, posts snapped. With homes and yards exposed, neighbors worried about security and pets escaping. The stakes were high to restore a safe boundary quickly before spring storms made things worse.
We mobilized our crew that morning, hauling in heavy-duty panels and using hydraulic post drivers to set new posts deep in the thawing ground. By afternoon, the temporary fence was up and stable, keeping the neighborhood safe and giving homeowners peace of mind. Our fast setup meant no delays for ongoing repairs or landscaping projects nearby.
They got my fence back up the same day, and I felt safe again right away.
